"Jaws; Special Tools"

Honda has a snap clip used on some control cables where they connect at the controlled end. These are found on their BBC cables and some transmission cables. The clips are a real pain to set into place. This is what I came up with. Take an old set of pliers and notch the jaws. A disc grinder does the job well.

Each jaw will have a notch width a little different so increase the width slowly and check often by sliding over the cable. One side will fit over the plastic sheathed cable and contact the metal sleeve. The other jaw will just clear the nipple side and do the actual job of pushing the clip into place.

Gotta special tool you've come up with? Let me know what it is and send me a picture if you can. If I like it I'll include it in this series.
